Fees and Payments
Fees are determined by the amount of time spent by the doctor, in record preparation or evaluating diagnostic data, cost of material and laboratory fees. To help keep cost down, we ask that payment be made when services are rendered. We accept cash, check or major credit cards and will be happy to answer any questions about our financial policies.
Please bring signed insurance forms and account numbers to your first appointment. We ask that you pay the patient’s portion at the time of the service. Our insurance forms are accepted by most insurance companies. We will file your insurance with your carrier. We are glad to assist you in any way possible, but we cannot accept responsibility for collecting or negotiating disputed insurance claims. The parent or guardian bringing the child to the office is responsible for payment of all fees.
Telephone Calls (901) 756-4447
Telephone calls about billing or scheduling are taken by our appointment/account coordinator during regular hours. If your child has a dental problem and you wish to speak to the doctor, please call early in the morning and leave a message. Time is scheduled during the day for Dr. Cohen to return your call. If the matter is urgent, please tell our staff member the nature of the problem. Every effort will be made to answer or return your call as soon as possible.
Treatment appointments are usually scheduled for the morning hours before 1 P.M. We have found that treatment appointments are easier when the child, the doctor, and staff are fresh. We also recommend morning appointments for preschoolers. Your child’s oral hygiene examination and cleaning is scheduled twice yearly and is of the utmost importance in maintaining good dental health. When cavities or minor irregularities are detected early, the procedures necessary for treatment are less invasive and easier tolerated by the patient. If you cannot make an appointment or will be late, please call the office. We make every effort to stay on schedule. You can help by being prompt for your appointments. If you have to wait more than 15 minutes, please ask our business staff the reason for the delay. We are looking forward to meeting you soon!
For your convenience, we accept cash, personal checks, money orders, and most major credit cards. Payment is expected at the time services are performed. Feel free to contact our office If your treatment plan requires more comprehensive dental work and you want to discuss financial arrangements.
