Office Hours and Appointments . . .
Office Hours
The office is open for appointments from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and for administration purposes.
Monday and Tuesday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Fees and Payment
Fees are determined by the amount of time spent with the doctor, in record preparation or evaluating diagnostic data, and cost of material and laboratory fees.
To help keep costs down, we ask that payment be made when services are rendered. We accept cash, check or major credit cards and will be happy to answer questions about our financial policies.
Insurance
Please bring signed insurance forms and account numbers to your first appointment. We ask that you pay the patient's portion at the time of the service.
Our insurance forms are accepted by most major insurance companies. We will file your insurance with your carrier. We are glad to assist you in any way possible, but we cannot accept responsibility for collecting or negotiating disputed insurance claims.
The parent or guardian bringing the child to the office is responsible for payment of all fees.
Telephone Calls
Telephone calls about billing or scheduling are taken by our appointment / account coordinator during regular hours. If our child has a dental problem and you wish to speak to the doctor, please call early in the morning and leave a message. Time is scheduled during the day for Dr. Cohen to return your call. If the matter is urgent, please tell our staff member the nature of the problem. Every effort will be made to answer or return your call as soon as possible.
Scheduling Appointments
Treatment appointments are scheduled usually for the morning hours before 1 p.m. We have found that treatment appointments are easier when your child, the doctor and staff are fresh. Afternoon appointments are reserved for check-ups and orthodontic adjustments. We also recommend morning appointments for pre-schoolers.
Your child's oral hygiene examination and cleaning is scheduled twice yearly and is of the utmost importance in maintaining good dental health. When cavities or minor irregularities are detected early, the procedures necessary for treatment are less invasive and easier tolerated by the patient.
If you cannot make an appointment or will be late, please call the office. We make every effort to stay on schedule. You can help by being prompt for your appointments. If you have to wait more than 15 minutes, please ask our business staff the reason for the delay. We are looking forward to meeting you all soon!
